Andrea Chen


Andrea graduated from UBC with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics and then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. She is certified to perform acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, and functional dry needling through KinetaCore. Andrea has also completed Level 3 in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Andrea has experience working with clients of all ages and conditions, including sports injuries, rehabilitation post-surgery, injuries from motor vehicle accidents, and arthritis. She has a special interest in treating runners and has taken a couple courses on running injuries. Her treatment philosophy incorporates manual therapy, dry needling/acupuncture, and functional exercises to help achieve her client’s goals.

Outside of working in the clinic, Andrea enjoys volunteering as a physio for various sporting events, including most recently the Canada Sevens Rugby tournament, the Women’s World Softball Championships, and the Americas Masters Games. She also enjoys staying active by running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, and playing basketball/softball/volleyball.
