Ann graduated from Physiotherapy at UBC in 2002, after completing a BHK degree in Exercise Science at UBC prior to that. She pursued extensive post graduate training and obtained her Diploma in Manual Therapy (2007), becoming a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapists. She has also completed her Acupuncture (2006) and IMS certifications (2012). She is a member of the Sports and Orthopaedic Divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Ann enjoys treating patients of all ages and conditions, and has worked in numerous environments from in hospital treatment, outpatient treatment, community based care, working with teams and private practice clinics. Her treatment approach focuses on finding the right balance of manual therapy, exercises, education and modalities/needling as appropriate to each individual. Ann also enjoys teaching and has helped teach with the Department of Physical Therapy at UBC, and has mentored students in the Orthopaedic division´s manual therapy program.
Ann has also been active in the field hockey community working as a team physiotherapy for the Canadian Men´s Field Hockey program from 2003-2008 and as a national team member herself with the Canadian Women´s Field Hockey Team, competing in the 1997 Junior World Cup, 1998 Commonwealth Games and the 1999 Pan Am Games. She has also helped coach with the BC Provincial and Jr National team programs.
When not at work, Ann enjoys cycling, running, tennis, hiking and many other outdoor pursuits that our beautiful province has to offer!
