Jeannette is an avid outdoor adventurer and former extreme sports enthusiast. During her formative years, Jeannette sustained many serious injuries that required a multimodal approach to Rehabilitation. Her experiences with her own rehabilitation have helped to shape her treatment techniques and Jeannette uses a variety of methods to help patients achieve their goals. Her treatments often include: manual therapy, soft tissue release, gait and biomechanic retraining, education and exercise prescription. Jeannette is passionate and dedicated to helping her clients meet their recreational and functional goals and returning them back to the activities they love.
Jeannette received a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in 2008 and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2011. In addition to these degrees, Jeannette has pursued studies in; Graduate Electives in Athletic Taping, Level 1 Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, Certification in Soft Tissue Release, Post-Graduate studies in Cervical Spine Neurotissue Sensitization, and Stott Rehab Mat Pilates.
She will be completing her Stott Rehab Pilates Reformer courses in September 2016.
Jeannette enjoys working with people of all ages and conditions and has worked in a variety of settings, including; pediatrics, acute care, post-surgical rehabilitation and sports medicine.
Jeannette is a true Adventure Seeker. In her free time, she loves to surf, hike, bike, kayak, trek, camp, stand up paddleboard, snowshoe, perform yoga and pilates and travel to unexplored corners of the world. And if you ask her, she will gladly tell you about many of her most exciting adventures.
