Larissa Vishniakoff


Larissa is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she completed her Master of Physical Therapy in 2009 and Bachelor of Science in 2007.
She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia.
Larissa is certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute to perform anatomical Acupuncture and is a Certified Gunn IMS Practitioner from the UBC Faculty of Medicine. She is also a certified K-taping therapist and has taken a variety of post-graduate courses in Movement Impairment Syndromes, Advanced Shoulder Rehabilitation, and has successfully completed the intermediate exam in the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy.

Larissa uses these skills to assess and treat the whole person and is very keen on making sure that the patient understands and is part of the treatment process the entire way through.

Larissa also has her Level 1 NCCP coaching certification. She continues to work with coaches and their competitive swimmers by presenting lectures and providing rehabilitation programs for competitive swim teams. Larissa was a competitive swimmer for 11 years and currently enjoys triathlons, hiking, trail running, scuba diving, and has over 10 years of Pilates experience.
