Registered Massage Therapist
Playing sports all my life, I thought that nothing couldn’t be fixed with ibuprofen and a short rest. That all changed the morning I slipped down my icy front steps. My doctor referred me to an RMT for my torqued neck and shoulder. After my initial visit I was elated at the range of motion I had gained that was lost even before my fall through stress, posture, sports and well, life. It was then I decided to pursue a career as a Registered Massage Therapist.
I graduated from the 3000 hour program at WCCMT with clinical experiences from VGH Burns and Trauma Unit, BC Women’s Hospital, Special Services Clinic (Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Multiple Sclerosis), UBC Track and Field Team, and Granfondo Whistler.
My approach consists of listening, assessing, and customizing a therapeutic treatment to help meet patient’s goals. I use a combination of swedish, soft tissue and joint manipulation, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, trigger point release, with a special interest for mayofascial techniques.
I am passionate about the healing power of the human body and the results that can be achieved with a natural form of medicine such as massage therapy. It’s a privilege to share that.
